Creating A First Gaming PC On A Budget

I have always been interested in the differences between consoles capabilities, I like to see which games look better on which consoles and I’m addicted to watching graphics comparisons on newly released games.

Often these graphics comparison videos show footage from  Xbox, Playstation and PC, though I paid closest attention to the consoles I was also jealously watching the PC footage in awe of how it was always ahead of the competition by a long way. So I have decided to stop fretting about differences between consoles and just dive into the complex pool of PC parts, heat sinks, CPU’s GPU’s memory and RAM (“memory IS RAM!”) and this is my experience.

Evolve

Evolve is a difficult review for me, as I can’t help but view it through the prism of my own weighty expectations. For a long time, Evolve has looked like the game that was finally going to kick start the age of PS4 and XBone, using the grunt to power something different and innovative rather than something that’s the same but prettier. Regardless, any new franchise is always going to invoke adulation and derision in equal measure, either for finally being something different to the existing fare or for being too different to what we’re used to. Don’t be fooled by The Escapists cutesy graphics and quirky charm. Underneath its modest exterior lies a devilishly punishing prison escape game that will have you tearing your hair out at times and punching the air in celebration at others.

 

Developed by Mouldy Toof Studios, which is predominantly one man Chris Davis, and published by Team 17 of the Worms franchise, The Escapists sees you thrown into gradually more complex and demanding prisons and tasked with, as the name suggests, escaping.
