Those fortunate enough to be part of the Xbox One Preview program will see improvements to party chat and achievement notifications in the first of two updates, starting today. According to Major Nelson, the second update is due to release next week. The Party App will now help users enable microphones and will display issues preventing chat from working with other party members.
Descriptions are also being added for achievements in notifications so users can see what they have earned without having to open the achievements app. The app itself should now load from notifications faster.
Microsoft has also implemented game hub links. Users will now be able to see activity feed items if friends follow a game. Players can also navigate to a game’s hub from activity feed posts. There are also links to game hubs in the achievement app.
The Xbox One recently received screenshot functionality and a new suggested friends feature. The March system update also included things such as tile transparency, the ability to report spam and voice search privacy.
