My lunch hour has always consisted of firing up the internet and browsing a select few websites to catch up on what’s happened in the last half a day. Gamescom Ho

I have good news and bad news.  The bad news is that, right now, there isn’t any news.  Except of course for the news about there being no news, plus the aforementioned good news, of which I am about to to tell you.  The good news is that there will soon be some news, because Gamescom is this week, which was actually news to me, since I had completely forgotten about this event.  This latter factoid, if you didn’t already know it, might also be classified as news and means I must therefore amend my previous statement regarding there only being two bits of news and oh no I’ve gone cross-eyed. A Farewell to LucasArts

On Wednesday the 3rd, 2013 the publisher and developer best known for it’s superb games released from the early 90’s all the way up to the mid 2000’s shut down. It’s a great loss for the industry, and comes not even half a year after they were acquired by Disney. It’s a greater loss for the people though, those that grew up playing KOTOR and Grim Fandango, Monkey Island and Battlefront and it is hard to admit that this finally is the end for LucasArts.
