Did you ever get the feeling that things were supposed to happen one way but then the crazy villain you are fighting starts glowing purple and beating the crap out of you? That seems to be happening a lot in the Dragon Ball world, which is why the Time Patrol has wished upon the magical dragon Shenron for an ally capable of correcting these little mistakes. Now it’s up to you to go back in time to the most iconic moments in the most iconic Shonen anime to come to the west. I have always been interested in the differences between consoles capabilities, I like to see which games look better on which consoles and I’m addicted to watching graphics comparisons on newly released games.
Often these graphics comparison videos show footage from Xbox, Playstation and PC, though I paid closest attention to the consoles I was also jealously watching the PC footage in awe of how it was always ahead of the competition by a long way. I’ve been a Zelda fanboy from back when I stumbled upon my father’s NES game collection and picked up the shiny golden cartridge that was The Legend of Zelda. Admittedly, I had no idea what was happening, but the bright colours, open world, and heroic music hooked me from the very first moment. I’ve followed the series from platform to platform, saving Hyrule more times than I can remember, but my favourite game in this long running series has always been Ocarina of Time. The music, combat, and story remain relevant even today, thanks to the 3DS remake that came out a few years back. And while most entries in Legend of Zelda are loved and admired in one form or another, there is one that is often overlooked – Majora’s Mask. Read more …
Created to bear resemblance to 8-bit action-adventure games from the 1980s such as “The Legend of Zelda” from Nintendo within a generation of 3D graphics, Silicon Studio’s “3D Dot Game Heroes” is delightfully amusing and does a marvelous job at conveying the feel of an 8-bit classic action-adventure.
