Players can now upload music files to OneDrive and stream the tracks via Xbox Music. Rumours of cloud integration with Xbox Music have been floating around since last year. The feature was allegedly called OneDrive Music Locker back then. Users do not need a paid Xbox Music Pass subscription, as the cloud streaming option is free to all OneDrive users. However, subscribers will receive an extra 100GB of storage on their OneDrive accounts.
Users can stream MP3, M4A and WMA files from OneDrive’s music folder to Xbox Music.
