2K Games and Firaxis Games have announced XCOM 2, a full sequel to 2012’s critically acclaimed XCOM: Enemy Unknown. The PC exclusive game shows a future where the aliens are in control of Earth, and XCOM has gone underground to fight and other throw the alien government. The new guerrilla force will face powerful enemies in unpredictable combat scenarios.
Last week, 2K teased the Internet with a cryptic website called AdventFuture.org. The site depicted a utopian near-future government called the Advent Administration that offered a better life for citizens through genetic enhancement. Hackers replaced text and images on the site thereby revealing that Advent isn’t as friendly as it seems. This website tease led many to believe a new BioShock game was going to be announced.
