Among Us is a multiplayer social deduction game for 4 to 15 players, played online or through local Wi-Fi. Crewmates work together to complete tasks around the map while trying to identify one or more Impostors hiding among them. Impostors instead sabotage important systems, move through vents, deceive the group, and eliminate Crewmates without being discovered. When a body is reported or an Emergency Meeting is called, surviving players discuss what happened and vote on who they believe should be ejected. Crewmates win by completing all tasks or removing every Impostor, while Impostors win by reducing the Crew until they can no longer be stopped. Optional roles add extra abilities to the standard Crew and Impostor rules. Engineers can use vents, Scientists can monitor player vitals, Trackers can follow another player’s location, and Shapeshifters can disguise themselves as other Crewmates. Matches take place across several maps with different layouts, tasks, security systems, and sabotage opportunities. Host settings can adjust factors including player speed, role frequency, task counts, voting rules, and the number of Impostors.
