01Overview
Assetto Corsa EVO is the sequel to 2014’s racing simulator Assetto Corsa, featuring road cars, classics, hypercars, and race cars from different periods of motoring history. Developed by KUNOS Simulazioni, it uses an in-house physics engine to model mechanical, electronic, aerodynamic, suspension, and tire behavior. Circuits are recreated using laser-scan technology, while a new DirectX 12 graphics engine supports dynamic weather, changing track conditions, VR, and triple-screen setups. The game is currently being developed through Early Access, with its core simulation and content expanding through updates. Players can use Free Practice and Quick Race to drive individual cars and circuits, while Driving Academy provides structured challenges and licenses. Progression includes earning XP and credits that can be used to purchase and customize cars with manufacturer-specific parts. Multiplayer supports online racing across machinery ranging from road cars to Formula cars, with dedicated servers also available. Assetto Corsa EVO additionally supports community-created cars, expanding the simulation beyond its official vehicle roster while retaining the same physics-focused driving model
