Multiplayer is the main focus, with infantry squads fighting alongside tanks, helicopters, jets and other vehicles across large maps. Players choose from four classes, each built around different roles such as assault, engineering, support and reconnaissance. The game introduced the Frostbite 2 engine, allowing for detailed environments, dynamic lighting and extensive destruction during battles. Modes such as Conquest and Rush emphasize coordinated team play, while weapon unlocks, attachments and vehicle upgrades give players a steady sense of progression across matches.
