01Overview
Battlefield Hardline is a first-person shooter developed by Visceral Games that shifts the series away from traditional military warfare toward a conflict between police and criminals. The single-player campaign follows detective Nick Mendoza as he investigates drug trafficking and corruption across several American cities. Multiplayer keeps Battlefield’s large-scale gunfights and vehicle combat but introduces modes built around the cops-and-robbers theme. Heist tasks criminals with stealing valuables while police defend them, Hotwire turns marked vehicles into moving objectives, and Blood Money has both teams competing to secure cash. Players can use firearms alongside police equipment such as tasers, grappling hooks and zip lines. Cars, motorcycles and helicopters also play a major role, giving Hardline a faster, more urban style than most other Battlefield games.
