01Overview
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter developed by Infinity Ward and a reboot of the Modern Warfare sub-series. The campaign follows Captain Price and several new characters as they become involved in a conflict centered on terrorism, chemical weapons and the fictional country of Urzikstan. Missions combine traditional firefights with stealth, night-vision operations and close-quarters scenarios where players must quickly distinguish between civilians and hostile targets. Multiplayer introduces cross-platform play, extensive Gunsmith weapon customization and modes such as 2v2 Gunfight and large-scale Ground War. Special Ops provides cooperative missions, while post-launch seasonal updates added new maps, weapons and modes without a traditional season pass. The game also formed the foundation for the original Call of Duty: Warzone.

Call of Duty: Warzone
Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale first-person shooter set in the Call of Duty universe. Up to 150 players parachute onto a large map, scavenge weapons and equipment, and fight to be the last squad standing as the playable area shrinks. The game features an in-game currency system for purchasing loadout drops and other tactical items, as well as a unique respawn mechanic called the Gulag, where eliminated players can fight for a second chance. Originally released as a companion to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), the game was later integrated with Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard content before its servers were shut down in September 2023, succeeded by a 2022 reboot also titled Warzone.
