01Overview
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is a 2D action-exploration game set in 1499, 23 years after the events of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. The story follows Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades, as she answers a call for help from Paris and confronts the darkness spreading through the city. Rose carries Dracula’s curse in her right arm and fights using the Vampire Killer whip alongside weapons from seven different categories. Players explore interconnected areas, battle monsters and bosses, and uncover new routes through environments ranging from the streets and sewers of Paris to Dracula’s castle. Defeated bosses can be sealed into Rose’s tarot cards and turned into Arcana, giving her new spells and special actions that expand both combat and exploration. Relics provide additional offensive and defensive effects, while weapons and other equipment can be combined to shape Rose’s loadout. The game features returning Castlevania characters and enemies including Trevor Belmont, Dracula, Medusa, Carmilla, Death and Isaac, alongside new characters and bosses tied to Rose’s story.
