01Overview
Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 2D fighting game based on the Dragon Ball series, built around fast 3-on-3 battles. Players choose a team of three fighters and switch between them during matches, using assists to extend combos, control space or protect the active character. Combat combines light, medium and heavy attacks with special moves, Super Attacks, aerial movement and the Dragon Rush and Super Dash systems. Matches feature destructible stages and cinematic attacks designed to recreate the look and pace of battles from the anime. The game includes a story mode centered on a new conflict involving Android 21, along with Arcade, Practice and local versus modes. Online play supports ranked and casual matches, Ring Matches and other multiplayer options, with rollback netcode available on supported versions for improved online responsiveness. The roster brings together characters from across Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super and related series, with additional fighters available through DLC. Players can experiment with different three-character teams, assists and character combinations while learning individual movesets and team-based combo routes.
