Elden Ring: Nightreign is a standalone adventure within the ELDEN RING universe, crafted to offer players a new gaming experience by reimagining the game’s core design. Developed by FromSoftware, the game shifts the familiar action RPG formula toward fast-paced co-op survival, with teams of up to three players taking on dangerous expeditions across the changing land of Limveld. Players choose from distinct heroes known as Nightfarers, each with their own abilities, skills and combat strengths. Every expedition unfolds across three in-game days, beginning with players at level one as they explore, defeat enemies, gather equipment, collect runes and use Sites of Grace to grow stronger. Limveld changes between sessions, with different enemies, bosses and loot encouraging players to adapt their route and strategy each time. As each day ends, the playable area contracts and a powerful boss emerges. Surviving the first two nights eventually opens the way to a Nightlord, which acts as the expedition's final challenge. Nightreign retains Elden Ring's demanding combat and dark fantasy setting while restructuring them around shorter, repeatable runs, character-specific abilities and teamwork.
