01Overview
Far Cry 5 is an open-world first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft Montreal and set in Hope County, Montana. Players take control of a junior deputy trapped in a region controlled by the Project at Eden’s Gate, a violent doomsday cult led by Joseph Seed. The campaign is built around dismantling the cult’s influence across three regions controlled by Seed’s lieutenants. Players can complete missions, destroy cult property, liberate outposts and help local resistance groups in almost any order. Combat supports stealth, direct gunfights and vehicle-based attacks, while Guns for Hire and animal companions can assist during missions. The open world also includes hunting, fishing and side activities. The full campaign supports two-player online co-op after the opening section.
