Assassin's Creed

Assassin's Creed is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and the first entry in the Assassin's Creed series. Set during the Third Crusade in 1191, it follows Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, an Assassin tasked with eliminating nine targets across the Holy Land. Gameplay combines parkour, stealth, investigation and melee combat. Altaïr travels between cities including Jerusalem, Acre and Damascus, gathering information about each target before carrying out an assassination. The game introduces many of the series' core ideas, including social stealth, rooftop traversal, synchronization viewpoints and the conflict between Assassins and Templars. A modern-day storyline also follows Desmond Miles, whose genetic memories are accessed through the Animus to experience Altaïr's life.
