Doom 3

Doom 3 is a first-person shooter developed by id Software that reimagines the original Doom premise with a much stronger survival horror focus. Set on a research facility on Mars, the game follows a marine fighting through the base after an experiment opens a gateway to Hell. Combat takes place mostly in dark corridors and enclosed rooms, with demons frequently attacking from hidden positions. Weapons range from shotguns and machine guns to classic Doom equipment such as the plasma gun and BFG 9000, while ammunition and health supplies encourage more cautious exploration. The story unfolds through radio messages, emails, audio logs and data devices found throughout the facility. Doom 3 also includes multiplayer deathmatch modes, although the single-player campaign remains the main focus.
