01Overview
Far Cry New Dawn is an open-world first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft Montreal and set 17 years after the events of Far Cry 5. Players return to a transformed Hope County, Montana, where survivors are rebuilding after a global nuclear catastrophe. The main conflict centers on the Highwaymen, a violent group led by twin sisters Mickey and Lou that raids settlements for resources. Players help the community of Prosperity grow by completing missions, capturing outposts and collecting supplies. Combat mixes firearms, improvised weapons, vehicles and recruitable companions, while enemy and weapon ranks add light RPG progression. Expeditions also take players beyond Hope County to separate locations across the United States, providing additional resources and tougher encounters.
