01Overview
Gran Turismo 4 is a racing simulation game developed by Polyphony Digital for PlayStation 2. It features more than 700 cars from dozens of manufacturers, ranging from everyday road cars to dedicated racing machines and concept vehicles. The main Gran Turismo mode revolves around earning licenses, buying cars and entering events across different racing categories. Vehicles can be tuned with performance upgrades, while tire choice, suspension settings and other adjustments affect how they behave on track. The game includes a large selection of fictional and real-world circuits, along with rally stages and endurance races. Gran Turismo 4 also introduced B-Spec mode, which lets players act as a race manager by giving instructions to an AI driver instead of controlling the car directly.
