Mafia

Mafia is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Illusion Softworks and set in the fictional city of Lost Heaven during the 1930s. Players control taxi driver Tommy Angelo, who becomes involved with the Salieri crime family after a chance encounter pulls him into organized crime. The campaign combines driving, shootouts, chases and story-driven missions as Tommy rises through the criminal underworld. Period vehicles use relatively realistic handling, while police can react to both serious crimes and traffic violations. Combat includes pistols, shotguns, rifles and submachine guns, with missions often mixing travel, exploration and firefights. Outside the main story, Free Ride mode lets players explore Lost Heaven more freely, collect vehicles and weapons, and take part in additional activities.
