Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is a stealth action game developed by Konami and a prequel to the rest of the Metal Gear series. Set during the Cold War, it follows Naked Snake on a mission deep inside Soviet territory. Gameplay shifts much of the series into outdoor jungle environments, where camouflage, movement and careful observation become essential. Snake can crawl through grass, climb trees, hunt animals for food and change clothing or face paint to reduce the chance of being spotted. Stealth remains the main focus, but the game also includes close-quarters combat, firearms and boss battles. A stamina system affects Snake’s performance, while injuries must be treated manually. The story explores the origins of several major characters and events that shape the later Metal Gear timeline.
