Saros

Saros is a third-person action game developed by Housemarque. Players control Arjun Devraj, a Soltari Enforcer exploring the hostile planet Carcosa while searching for answers beneath a mysterious eclipse. Combat builds on Housemarque’s fast-paced arcade style, with players dodging waves of projectiles, using high-tech weapons and combining defensive abilities such as shields and parries. Boss encounters place a heavy emphasis on learning attack patterns and staying mobile. Death begins another cycle on a changed version of Carcosa, but progress is not completely lost. Resources collected during previous attempts can permanently improve weapons, equipment and Arjun’s capabilities, allowing players to become stronger between runs while gradually uncovering the mysteries surrounding the lost colony.
