Spore

Spore is a life simulation and strategy game developed by Maxis. Players guide a species from a microscopic organism to a spacefaring civilization, shaping its appearance, behavior and abilities along the way. The game is divided into five stages: Cell, Creature, Tribe, Civilization and Space. Each introduces a different style of play, ranging from simple survival and exploration to social interaction, settlement management and large-scale strategy. Creature and vehicle editors allow players to design their own species, buildings and machines, with those creations carrying forward into later stages. The final Space stage opens into a much larger sandbox where players can explore planets, contact alien civilizations and expand their influence across the galaxy.
