01Overview
Subnautica is an open-world survival game developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment and set on the ocean planet 4546B. After crash-landing, players must gather resources, manage oxygen and explore an alien underwater ecosystem while searching for a way to escape. Progression revolves around crafting better diving equipment, tools and vehicles that allow access to deeper and more dangerous areas. Players can build modular underwater bases for storage, power and vehicle docking, while the Seamoth, Cyclops and Prawn Suit expand exploration options. The world includes coral reefs, caves, deep-sea trenches and volcanic regions filled with both harmless and hostile wildlife. Discovering blueprints, wrecks and abandoned facilities gradually reveals what happened on the planet and why leaving it is more complicated than expected.
