The Last of Us

The Last of Us is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and set in a post-pandemic United States. Players control Joel, a survivor tasked with escorting a teenage girl named Ellie across the country after a fungal outbreak collapses society. Gameplay combines exploration, stealth and combat against both infected creatures and hostile human survivors. Ammunition and supplies are limited, encouraging players to craft items, avoid unnecessary fights and use the environment carefully. The campaign is heavily story-driven, with Joel and Ellie’s relationship developing as they travel through ruined cities, wilderness and abandoned settlements. The original release also includes Factions, a competitive multiplayer mode built around team-based survival and resource management.
