Timberborn

Timberborn is a city-building and survival game developed by Mechanistry. Players manage a colony of intelligent beavers trying to thrive in a world where humanity has disappeared and extreme droughts regularly reshape the landscape. Water management is central to survival. Dams, reservoirs, canals and pumps help control rivers and store enough water to keep crops and settlements alive through dry seasons. Later, toxic badtides introduce additional hazards that can contaminate water and farmland. Construction can expand vertically, allowing buildings, platforms and paths to stack into dense settlements. Players also manage food, power, production and population growth while choosing between different beaver factions with their own strengths. Terraforming tools eventually make it possible to reshape the terrain and create more reliable long-term water systems.
