01Overview
God of War III is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and the conclusion to the original Greek-era God of War trilogy. The story follows Kratos as he climbs Mount Olympus to take revenge on Zeus and the other gods who betrayed him. Combat revolves around fast melee attacks, grappling moves, magic and a growing arsenal of weapons. Kratos can switch between tools such as the Blades of Exile, Nemean Cestus and Claws of Hades, while finishing moves are used against larger enemies and bosses. The campaign mixes combat with platforming and environmental puzzles, moving through locations across Olympus and the Underworld. Large-scale encounters with Titans and gods are a major part of the game, giving the finale a much bigger sense of scale than earlier entries.
