01Overview
Battle beyond the Underworld using dark sorcery to take on the Titan of Time in this sequel to the rogue-like dungeon crawler Hades. Players control Melinoë, the immortal Princess of the Underworld, as she fights the forces of Chronos across an ever-changing mythological world. Each run combines fast real-time combat with weapons called the Nocturnal Arms, magick-powered Omega moves, and Boons granted by Olympian gods. Defeat sends Melinoë back to the Crossroads, where new conversations, upgrades, resources, and story events become available before the next attempt. Players can gather reagents with specialized tools, perform Incantations to unlock new features, strengthen Melinoë through permanent upgrades, and use the Altar of Ashes to equip Arcana Cards that modify her abilities. Animal Familiars can accompany her and provide additional benefits during runs. Different routes lead through the Underworld and beyond it, with changing encounters, bosses, resources, and characters. Progress continues across repeated attempts as Melinoë develops relationships, unlocks additional systems, and works toward defeating Chronos.
