01Overview
Halo Wars 2 is a real-time strategy game developed by Creative Assembly and 343 Industries. The story follows the crew of the UNSC Spirit of Fire after they awaken near the Ark and discover a new enemy faction known as the Banished, led by the Brute warlord Atriox. Players build bases, gather resources and command armies made up of familiar Halo units such as Marines, Spartans, Warthogs and Scorpion tanks. Each faction has different leaders and abilities that influence how battles are fought. The campaign can be played solo or cooperatively, while multiplayer includes competitive skirmishes and objective-based modes. Halo Wars 2 also introduces Blitz, a faster mode that uses card-based army selection instead of traditional base building.
