Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is a large-scale multiplayer first-person shooter built around 50v50 battles during the Vietnam War. Players fight as either the North Vietnamese Army or US Armed Forces across six large maps based on real-world locations and terrain. Each 50-player team is divided into squads, with 19 specialized roles spread across infantry, recon, armor, mortar, and helicopter units. Communication and coordination are central, as squads work together to capture objectives, identify enemy positions, and support the wider team rather than simply chasing individual kills. Authentic weapons and vehicles accompany expanded movement options including swimming, climbing, and fast crawling. Vietnam introduces new battlefield systems suited to the conflict. US forces can deploy helicopters for transport, fire support, and supply drops, while NVA units can construct tunnel networks for movement and surprise attacks. Patrol boats provide another way to navigate and fight across river systems. Six multiplayer modes are included, with Warfare built around controlling five sectors and Offensive dividing teams into attacking and defending sides. Players can also drag wounded teammates away from incoming fire before they are revived.
