Life Is Strange is an episodic narrative adventure developed by Dontnod Entertainment. Players control photography student Max Caulfield, who returns to the town of Arcadia Bay and discovers that she can rewind time after witnessing a violent incident involving her childhood friend Chloe Price. Gameplay focuses on exploration, conversations and choices that can alter relationships and later events. Max’s rewind ability allows players to revisit recent decisions, uncover new information and approach situations in different ways. Across five episodes, Max and Chloe investigate the disappearance of student Rachel Amber while increasingly strange events threaten the town. Decisions made throughout the story can have consequences far beyond the moment they are made, building toward major choices that shape how the story concludes.
