Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play superhero team-based PvP shooter developed by NetEase Games in collaboration with Marvel Games. Two teams of six players choose from a roster of Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains, each with their own weapons, movement abilities, and powers. Heroes are divided into Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist roles, covering frontline defense, damage, and team support. Team-Up abilities let certain character combinations unlock additional attacks or effects, adding another layer to team composition. Battles take place across destructible environments where players can break walls, open new routes, or use damaged structures as cover. Core objective modes include Domination, Convoy, and Convergence. Domination has teams fight to control an objective area, while Convoy and Convergence revolve around escorting or stopping a moving objective through the map. Players can compete through Quick Match or Competitive play, while additional modes and limited-time variants provide different rules outside the standard format. Matches combine third-person shooting with melee combat, mobility skills, defensive abilities, healing, crowd control, and Ultimate abilities depending on the selected hero.
