MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a 4v4 tag-team fighting game developed by Arc System Works with PlayStation Studios and Marvel Games. Players build a team of four Marvel heroes and villains from a launch roster of 20 characters, each with their own attacks, skills, movement, and team role. Battles use light, medium, and heavy attacks alongside Skills, Super Skills, and Ultimate Skills. The Assemble system lets players call teammates for assists, switch active characters during combos, and use defensive team actions. Some stage transitions and round conditions also unlock access to additional members of the four-character team as a match progresses. Battle Mode includes Ranked, Casual, Room, and local Versus matches, with cross-play supported between PS5 and PC. Training Mode and Start Up Battle provide tools for learning individual characters, combos, defense, and team mechanics. Episode Mode adds an original Marvel storyline presented through motion-comic sequences and battles, while Open Lobbies let players meet others and start matches. Stages are based on Marvel locations and can include interactive transitions that move fights into new areas.
