Mass Effect Legendary Edition collects the single-player campaigns of Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 in one remastered package. Players create Commander Shepard, choose a combat class, recruit squad members from across the galaxy, and lead the fight against the Reapers, an ancient machine race that repeatedly destroys advanced civilizations. Missions combine third-person cover shooting with biotic and technology powers, squad commands, exploration, and dialogue choices. Decisions, relationships, surviving characters, and mission outcomes can carry between all three games and alter later events. The collection includes more than 40 story expansions and downloadable packs, along with promotional weapons, armor, and equipment. Its visual updates cover character models, textures, lighting, effects, cinematics, and support for 4K resolution. A unified character creator keeps Shepard’s appearance consistent across the trilogy, while the original Mass Effect receives updated combat, aiming, interfaces, squad behavior, Mako handling, and camera controls. Photo Mode is available throughout the collection. Legendary Edition focuses entirely on the campaign experience and does not include Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode.
