01Overview
Mount & Blade: Warband is an open-ended medieval action RPG and strategy game developed by TaleWorlds Entertainment. Players create their own character and enter the fictional land of Calradia, where several kingdoms compete for territory and power. You can recruit soldiers, trade between towns, complete quests and build relationships with nobles while gradually expanding your army and reputation. Battles are fought directly in real time, with the player fighting on foot or horseback while issuing commands to infantry, archers and cavalry. Warband also adds deeper political options, including marriage, vassalage and the ability to establish your own kingdom. There is no fixed path through the campaign, allowing players to become merchants, mercenaries, loyal lords or rulers attempting to conquer Calradia for themselves.
