Ball x Pit and Slitterhead Join PS Plus Game Catalog

Ball x Pit and Slitterhead are now available through PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, adding another two games to Sony's staggered September Game Catalog lineup.

Ball x Pit is available on PS5, while Slitterhead can be played on PS5 and PS4. Sony still has another three Extra and Premium games scheduled for September 29 in the US, UK, and Japan, so this week's additions are not the final part of the month's rollout in those markets.

Ball x Pit is a fast-paced fantasy roguelite built around bouncing magic-infused projectiles through waves of monsters.

Players descend into the ruins of Ballbylon in search of resources and treasure while developing new projectile combinations and recruiting additional heroes. Progress between runs is also tied to rebuilding New Ballbylon, giving players another system to develop outside the pit itself.

Ball x Pit is available through the Game Catalog on PS5.

Slitterhead is now available to Extra and Premium members on both PS5 and PS4.

Developed by Bokeh Game Studio, the action-adventure follows Hyoki, an entity without a physical body that hunts creatures called Slitterheads hidden among the population of Kowlong. Hyoki can possess humans while tracking the monsters and searching for stronger allies known as Rarities.

Combat revolves around blood-based abilities and switching between possessed characters, while the story explores Hyoki's origins and the emergence of the Slitterheads.

Sony will finish September's announced Game Catalog rollout in the US, UK, and Japan with another three games on September 29.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound and Dungeons of Hinterberg will join the catalog on PS5 and PS4 that day. Sniper Elite: Resistance is also scheduled to enter the Game Catalog on September 29, although it is already available to PlayStation Plus members as one of September's Monthly Games.

That will complete a September lineup spread across several dates rather than one single catalog update, with Ball x Pit and Slitterhead forming the September 22 wave.
