Company of Heroes 3 Operation Torch DLC Adds 15-Mission North Africa Campaign in November

October 30, 2026·3 min read

Company of Heroes 3: Operation Torch introduces 15 World War II missions, persistent army upgrades, and a new North African campaign launching November 25.

Relic Entertainment has announced Company of Heroes 3: Operation Torch, a new single-player campaign expansion launching on November 25, 2026, for PC through Steam. The DLC takes players to North Africa during World War II, following American forces through the Allied landings and several major battles against German troops.

The expansion features 15 missions inspired by historical events, a progression system that carries upgrades between battles, and a story told through three American soldiers. It is the first new single-player mission content for Company of Heroes 3 since the base game launched in February 2023.

Operation Torch places players in command of the 34th Infantry Division, also known as the Red Bulls, during the Allied campaign in North Africa.

The story begins with the 1942 landings and follows an inexperienced American army as it learns to fight against German forces. The campaign includes the setback at Kasserine and concludes with an assault on Hill 609.

Relic has designed the expansion around the challenges faced by American troops during these battles. Rather than focusing on a single engagement, the campaign follows the army's development through victories, defeats, and increasingly demanding operations. Three characters provide different perspectives on the conflict.

Colonel Thomas "Tom" Becker is the division commander, a young officer who struggles with difficult decisions and the responsibility of protecting his soldiers.

Major George Russo serves as the division's intelligence officer and frequently questions orders from his superiors. Meanwhile, Master Sergeant James "Jimmy" Flanagan is an experienced veteran who provides guidance to younger soldiers.

Their stories develop throughout the campaign, showing how the division responds to the demands of combat.

Fifteen missions introduce different battlefield challenges

The expansion includes 15 missions built around distinct tactical situations. Players will take part in beachfront landings, stealth operations, defensive battles, and large-scale assaults. Relic says each mission will emphasize different units, abilities, and battlefield mechanics. Players will need to adjust their strategies depending on the terrain, available forces, and objectives.

Some encounters will require careful positioning and defensive planning, while others will focus on aggressive attacks or more specialized tactics. The missions are connected through a persistent progression system that allows players to develop their army as the campaign advances.

Completing missions earns upgrades, while optional objectives provide additional opportunities to strengthen the force. Players will make two progression choices per mission, with one or two upgrades available through normal completion. These decisions carry forward into later battles, allowing players to customize their army according to their preferred approach.

Operation Torch arrives after the November 5 anniversary update

Relic Entertainment has scheduled Company of Heroes 3: Operation Torch for November 25 on Steam. The expansion is available to wishlist, but its price has not been announced. Players will need to own the base game to access the campaign.

The DLC is arriving during the franchise's 20th anniversary celebrations, which also include a major update for Company of Heroes 3. Update 3.0 is scheduled for November 5, bringing significant improvements to the game's visuals, environments, audio, artificial intelligence, and gameplay.

The update introduces new rain and snow effects, additional multiplayer maps, and changes to unit balance and matchmaking. Relic is also improving the existing Italian Campaign, including adjustments to its resource management and progression systems.

Unlike the paid Operation Torch expansion, Update 3.0 focuses on improving the existing game and its available modes. Relic plans to share further details about the North African campaign ahead of its November 25 release, including the final price.
