DECAPOLICE Shows New Gameplay From Its TGS 2026 Demo
Level-5 has released new DECAPOLICE gameplay tied to the game's playable Tokyo Game Show 2026 demo, giving another look at its mix of investigation and city exploration ahead of its 2027 launch.
Players trying the game at Level-5's TGS booth can choose between two different demo experiences: Case Quest, which focuses on solving a case, and City Patrol, which lets players patrol the city. The demo is one of four playable games at Level-5's booth during the event.
DECAPOLICE's TGS demo offers two ways to play

The two demo options highlight different parts of DECAPOLICE's detective RPG structure. Case Quest gives attendees a case to investigate, while City Patrol lets them patrol the game's city instead. Level-5 lists Japanese as the supported language for the TGS build.
Investigations in the full game revolve around DECASIM, a virtual recreation of the city containing memories of past crimes. Players can search those recreated events for clues, then organize collected evidence on a Case Board to work toward a solution.
Cases can also lead to confrontations with suspects. Level-5 says players may be able to persuade a cornered criminal to surrender, while others can transform into Crime Beasts and must be incapacitated before they can be arrested.
