Fable Collector’s Edition Has Already Sold Out As Scalpers Move In

June 25, 2026·4 min read
The return of Fable finally has the kind of collector’s box longtime fans wanted, and many of them already missed it. The Collector’s Edition is sold out through the Xbox Game Studios Shop, leaving fans to watch resale prices climb long before the game launches.

The $199.99 edition comes with the full Premium Edition, a Jack of Blades statuette, a hardcover art book, a SteelBook case, and a Heroes Guild Seal pin. It also includes early access, the Premium Edition Content Pack, the digital art book and soundtrack, and the Fable: Order of the Hero expansion after launch.

The Collector’s Edition disappeared fast

Fable launches on February 23, 2027, which makes the sellout feel especially rough. Players are not trying to buy a game next week. They are trying to secure the one premium physical version of a series that has been gone from the main stage for years.

The Xbox Game Studios Shop now lists the Collector’s Edition as out of stock, with back-in-stock notifications available. There are also region limits and shipping notes, which means some fans had fewer chances from the start.

Console buyers get a physical disc, while Steam buyers get a digital code. That detail is important because collector’s editions have become harder to trust as physical releases. For Xbox and PlayStation players, at least this box still includes the game on disc.

Resellers are making the wait worse

The sellout would be frustrating on its own, but resale listings have already turned it into the usual collector’s edition mess. Fans who missed the official price are now seeing sellers ask far more for a preorder they do not even have in hand yet.

A limited box can sell out because demand is high, but it feels different when copies appear on resale sites almost immediately. Players who wanted the statuette, SteelBook, and art book are left deciding whether to wait for a restock or pay someone who got there first.

Fable makes that sting more because this is not a routine yearly release. The series has been away long enough that the Collector’s Edition feels tied to the comeback itself, not only to the game.

The Jack of Blades statue is the big pull

The Jack of Blades statuette is doing most of the work here. It gives the package a real connection to the older games and makes the box feel like something made for fans who remember why Albion mattered in the first place.

The art book, SteelBook, and Guild Seal pin round out the physical side without feeling random. The digital bonuses are useful, but the appeal of this edition is the shelf item. Fans can buy premium game content separately. They cannot buy this version of the statue through the regular store once the box is gone.

That is why the resale rush is a problem for many fans. The people most likely to care about Jack of Blades are the same people now being asked to pay extra because the official stock vanished.

Xbox Should Be More Transparent About Restocks

Back-in-stock notifications give fans a reason to keep checking, but they do not answer the main question. Players need to know whether more Collector’s Editions are planned or whether the sellout is final.

A restock would not stop every reseller, but it would give regular fans another fair shot. Xbox also needs to handle this carefully because Fable is already trying to bring back a series with a lot of affection and a lot to prove.

The Collector’s Edition should have been an easy early win. Instead, the first fight for many fans is not in Albion. It is against a sold-out page and resale listings that arrived far too quickly.
