Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton pushed back to 2027

September 16, 2026·3 min read
Shueisha Games and poncle have delayed Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton from its planned 2026 release window to 2027. The multiplayer survivors-royale is being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam.

Shueisha Games said the extra development time will be used to improve the overall experience. A more specific release window within 2027 has not yet been announced, leaving players without a new launch date for now.

The publisher confirmed the delay on September 14, moving the game into next year without announcing a replacement date. Development is being handled by poncle, the studio behind Vampire Survivors.

Shueisha Games said the team had been working toward a 2026 release but decided more time was needed before launch. The delay affects every announced version, including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC.

The game was first revealed in June 2026 as a multiplayer take on the survivors-style formula. It mixes large waves of Cursed Spirits with direct competition between players in the same match.

Up to eight players compete before a final duel

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton supports online matches for up to eight players, while a separate single-player mode has also been confirmed. Players defeat waves of Cursed Spirits, collect points, strengthen their characters, and compete to stay near the top of the rankings.

Attacks activate automatically, which puts more focus on movement, positioning, and choosing upgrades during each run. Reaching 100 points allows a player to trigger a Rule Addition that changes the match conditions and can create new problems for opponents.

Matches eventually narrow down to the two highest-ranked players. Those remaining competitors then face each other in a one-on-one duel to decide the winner.

More than 20 Jujutsu Kaisen characters are playable

The roster will feature more than 20 characters from Jujutsu Kaisen, each with different abilities and playstyles. Additional characters can also be unlocked by completing specific conditions during play.

Players can use techniques from the series, including Domain Expansion and Black Flash. Boss enemies can appear during matches as another threat alongside rival players and regular Cursed Spirits.
Characters become stronger during each run by earning experience in battle. Leveling up gives players new skill choices, allowing them to improve existing abilities or combine different effects as the match continues.

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton is now scheduled for 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Shueisha Games has not announced a new release date or confirmed when the next major development update will be shared.
