Really Illegal Golf mixes golf with stealth and security guards

Developer Pushlab Games and publisher No More Robots have announced Really Illegal Golf, a multiplayer golf game where players also have to sneak past guards and avoid security cameras. The game made its world premiere during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct 2026 and is coming to PC through Steam in the first quarter of 2027. 

The setup begins after the player’s golf club membership is revoked. Instead of giving up, players look for places around the city where they can still play, even if they have to sneak in.

Each round mixes normal golf shots with avoiding patrols, cameras, and other hazards. Players need to plan their shots while also watching where security is positioned.

The environments go beyond traditional golf clubs. Pushlab Games has shown players golfing through unusual locations, including construction areas and the top of a tower crane.

Stealth is one option, but players do not always have to stay hidden. The game includes weapons that can be used when guards get in the way.

The reveal footage shows more direct methods too, including a taser. Golf shots can also be used to deal with obstacles, giving players several ways to move through a course. That means players can try to avoid security completely or take the risk of creating more trouble on the way to the next hole.

The Steam demo launched alongside the announcement on September 20. It includes one full nine-hole stealth course and supports multiplayer.

Guards, security cameras, and environmental hazards are already part of the demo. Players can either slip past patrols or take a more aggressive route. The full game will add more locations around the city and more chances to play golf in places where players are not supposed to be.

Really Illegal Golf is currently announced only for PC through Steam. Its store page lists a Q1 2027 release window, although Pushlab Games has not announced an exact date.

The project began as a small game-jam concept before gaining attention online and later being picked up by No More Robots. The Tokyo Direct reveal gives the idea a larger multiplayer release, while the free demo offers the first playable look at how golf and stealth come together.
