A new Soulslike coming to Steam makes a stray dog at the center of a dark fantasy adventure. Stray Dog: nobody cares comes from Parry Frames Studio and gives its canine protagonist a battered sword to carry in its mouth, with parries, backstabs, deathblows, stealth kills, and boss fights all part of the combat.
The game does not have a release date yet, but its Steam page is now live for wishlisting. Parry Frames says the game's combat framework and teaching level design have already been completed as development continues.

Stray Dog: nobody cares is set in Greythorn, a medieval border region invaded by a powerful legion. Its unnamed hound was raised by a disgraced former knight who once fought for that same army.
The knight was eventually cast aside after uncovering the legion's secrets. He lived alone with the dog until he was captured, leaving the hound to set out after the only person who had cared for it.
The dog was never trained to fight. Its owner instead taught it to hide and survive away from war, while the game's combat includes both stealth kills and close-range attacks.

Parry Frames is leaning directly into Soulslike mechanics. Players can parry attacks, move behind enemies for backstabs, perform deathblows, and use special combat arts during fights.
Exploration also follows the genre's familiar structure. Levels contain hidden treasures, while defeating enemies rewards experience and gold that can be used to unlock additional skills.
The Steam page lists the game as a single-player action adventure, while its user-defined tags include linear, dark fantasy, stealth, third-person combat, and exploration.
The sudden attention around Stray Dog: nobody cares has come earlier than Parry Frames expected. The studio said the game suddenly gained attention on X, with more interested players arriving afterward.
Parry Frames says the game's combat framework and teaching level design have already been completed as development continues. The studio is also encouraging interested players to wishlist the game as it works to secure support for further development.
Stray Dog: nobody cares is currently announced for PC through Steam. No release window or console versions have been confirmed.
