The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches October 29 with new Noir Mode and lost scenes
October 27, 2026·3 min read
The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches October 29 with Noir Mode, five lost scenes, upgraded visuals and new content. Nintendo Switch is delayed.
Telltale has confirmed that The Wolf Among Us Remastered will launch digitally on October 29, bringing Bigby Wolf’s original investigation back with rebuilt visuals, improved audio and several pieces of previously unreleased content.
The remaster will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox One and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, with Xbox Series X|S able to play the Xbox One version through backward compatibility. A Nintendo Switch release was originally planned for the same date but has since been delayed.
Telltale has rebuilt Fabletown for modern hardware

Rather than simply increasing the original game’s resolution, Telltale says every character received new textures and more detailed models. Environments have also been refined, animations and audio upgraded, and every scene was relit during development.
The studio moved the game to a later version of its original Telltale engine while preserving the story, art direction and choice-driven structure of the 2013 release. Bigby’s full werewolf form has received a particularly substantial redesign, which Telltale showed again in a new trailer released ahead of launch.
Players will still investigate the murder mystery at the center of the original story, questioning suspects and making decisions that affect Bigby’s relationships with Fabletown’s residents.
Noir Mode turns the entire game black and white
One of the biggest new additions is Noir Mode, which presents the adventure entirely in black and white. Telltale designed the option around the game’s detective-story influences rather than simply applying a visual filter to the existing presentation.
The remaster also includes five playable Lost Scenes that were removed during development of the original game. They are joined by more than an hour of developer and cast interviews and an art gallery containing over 100 images.
These additions make the release more than a straightforward visual upgrade, particularly for players who already know how Bigby’s original investigation unfolds.
The remaster launches for $24.99

The Wolf Among Us Remastered will cost $24.99 at launch. Telltale is offering a temporary 20% launch discount for new buyers, while eligible digital owners of the original game can receive discounts of up to 50% for a limited period.
A Steam demo containing Episode One was also made available during Steam Next Fest, giving PC players an opportunity to try the remastered presentation before the full release. Physical editions are planned for the first quarter of 2027. Telltale and publishing partner PM Studios have not yet provided complete retail details.
Nintendo Switch players will have to wait longer
The Nintendo Switch version will no longer arrive on October 29. Telltale said it needs additional development time to ensure the game meets its expectations on Nintendo hardware and has not provided a replacement release date.
That leaves PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox as the platforms receiving the remaster this week. The delayed Nintendo edition will also mark the franchise’s first appearance on a Nintendo platform when it eventually launches.
The timing gives Telltale another opportunity to reintroduce Bigby before The Wolf Among Us 2, which is currently scheduled for 2027. The sequel takes place five months after the original story, making the October 29 remaster the most direct way to revisit Fabletown before Bigby’s next investigation begins.
