01Overview

Paralives is a life simulation game about building homes, lives, and relationships. Players create customizable characters called Parafolks and manage their daily lives in an open-world town. Parafolks have needs, emotions, personality traits, skills, wants, careers, and relationships that develop through their actions and interactions with others. They can find jobs, improve skills, cook, form friendships and romantic relationships, start families, and experience everyday events such as paying bills or dealing with house fires. Multiple characters can also be selected and directed as a group. Paralives is currently available in Early Access. Build Mode lets players construct and furnish homes using flexible tools, including curved and angled walls, split-level platforms, multiple floors, resizable objects, and an optional placement grid. Colors and materials can be adjusted extensively, allowing furniture and architectural elements to be customized without relying solely on preset variations. Players can also create Parafolks through the Paramaker and share custom creations and mods through the Steam Workshop. Paralives is a single-player game and does not require an internet connection to play.
