01Overview
Path of Exile 2 is a next-generation action RPG from Grinding Gear Games, set years after the original Path of Exile. Players return to the dark world of Wraeclast, where corruption has begun spreading again and transforming both the land and its inhabitants. Combat combines direct movement and dodge rolls with weapons, spells, Skill Gems, and character-specific abilities. Classes provide different starting points and Ascendancy options, while the large passive skill tree allows characters to develop far beyond their initial archetype. Equipment, crafting, and randomized loot remain central as players move through the campaign and confront increasingly dangerous bosses. Skill Gems provide active abilities, while Support Gems modify how those skills behave and can substantially change a character build. Weapons range from traditional melee equipment to bows, crossbows, staves, and other specialized options. The campaign can be played alone or cooperatively with up to six players. After completing the story, the endgame expands into an Atlas filled with maps, bosses, crafting systems, and specialized encounters that provide further progression. Path of Exile 2 is currently available in Early Access.
