01Overview
Pokémon Champions is a battle-focused Pokémon game built around familiar mechanics such as types, Abilities, moves, and team composition. Players assemble teams and compete in Single Battles or Double Battles across Ranked, Casual, and Private modes. Ranked Battles match Trainers against opponents of similar skill and award Victory Points based on results. These points are used to recruit and train Pokémon, allowing players to adjust stats, moves, and Abilities as they refine their teams. Mega Evolution is also supported through the Omni Ring, adding another strategic option during battle. Pokémon can be recruited directly through Roster Ranch or brought into the game from Pokémon HOME, provided they are supported in Pokémon Champions. This allows eligible partners from games such as Pokémon Scarlet, Pokémon Violet, and Pokémon GO to join a player’s roster. Cross-platform play lets Trainers on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, iOS, and Android battle one another. The game focuses on Pokémon battling rather than exploration or catching, with team building, training, and competitive play forming the core experience.
