Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a tactical first-person shooter focused on close-quarters combat between teams of five. Players select from a roster of Operators, each with unique weapons, gadgets, and abilities. In its core attack-versus-defense matches, one team pushes objectives while the other fortifies the site and prepares defensive positions. Destructible environments are central to play, letting players breach walls, floors, and ceilings or reinforce surfaces to control lines of sight and movement. There is no respawning during standard rounds, so survival, information, and coordination are critical. Siege supports Quick Match, Unranked, and Ranked play alongside training options designed to help players learn maps, weapons, and Operator mechanics. Its current structure also includes Dual Front, a separate 6v6 mode that expands the usual formula with larger teams and different objectives. Players can practice against AI opponents, while competitive modes reward coordinated team composition, gadget use, map knowledge, and careful use of limited resources. The game has no traditional single-player campaign and continues to expand through new Operators, map changes, balance updates, and additional modes.
