Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is an action-adventure game set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem. The story follows a younger Sophia, a plunderer fleeing Venice after a failed heist, as she travels to the mysterious Minotaur’s Island to uncover the truth about her family and her past. Exploration takes players through coastal landscapes, ancient ruins and underground labyrinths while enemies pursue Sophia across the island. Gameplay combines direct melee combat, stealth, environmental puzzles and traversal, with Sophia relying on agility, parries, powerful strikes and improvised tactics to survive encounters. The story also shifts between Sophia’s medieval journey and events from the ancient Minoan era, connecting two characters through the history of the island and the origins of the Macula. Sophia can use a stolen Minoan sphere to manipulate light and solve puzzles built into ancient structures. Her notebook provides information gathered during the journey, while deeper areas introduce deadly trials and a creature that stalks Sophia through parts of the island, forcing her to hide, escape and find another way forward.
