01Overview
Rocket League is a high-powered hybrid of arcade-style soccer and vehicular mayhem with easy-to-understand controls and physics-driven competition. Players control rocket-powered cars and try to knock an oversized ball into the opposing team’s goal while accelerating, jumping, boosting, and driving along arena walls. Matches support formats including 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3, with both Casual and Competitive online playlists. The game also includes an offline Season Mode, Exhibition matches, Private Matches, training options, and Mutators that change rules such as ball behavior, gravity, boost, and match length. Extra Modes modify the standard soccer format with different mechanics and objectives. Hoops adapts the game to basketball-style arenas, while modes such as Rumble, Dropshot, Snow Day, and Heatseeker rotate through Competitive or Arcade playlists depending on the current setup. Players can customize their cars with bodies, decals, wheels, goal explosions, and other cosmetic items without changing vehicle performance. Regular online Tournaments provide another structured way to compete, while Free Play and custom training drills let players practice shooting, aerial control, movement, and saves outside normal matches.
