01Overview
Saints Row 2 is an open-world action game set in the city of Stilwater several years after the original Saints Row. The player character awakens from a coma to find the Third Street Saints scattered and rival gangs controlling much of the city. After escaping prison, the Boss begins rebuilding the Saints and reclaiming territory from the Brotherhood, the Ronin and the Sons of Samedi while confronting the growing influence of the Ultor Corporation. Players complete story missions, drive vehicles, use firearms and melee weapons, and take part in activities spread across the city. Character customization allows players to change the Boss’s appearance, clothing, voice and fighting style, while vehicles, gang members and owned properties can also be customized. Activities include Insurance Fraud, Mayhem, Hitman, racing and other side missions that award money, respect and bonuses. Cars, motorcycles, boats, helicopters and aircraft can be used throughout Stilwater. The entire story campaign supports two-player cooperative play, while Free Roam lets players explore the city and complete activities outside the main missions.
